BNSF Automotive: 2025 Thanksgiving Operating Plan

This year, BNSF will observe the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28. BNSF will operate automotive trains over the holiday, and our automotive facilities will remain fully staffed and open for haulaway during normal scheduled hours. Connecting carriers who have reduced operations for the holiday may cause delays on interline traffic. As a result, we anticipate some extending of our service schedules as we consolidate volumes to fill trains. We expect shipments arriving from Wednesday, November 26, through Monday, December 1, may experience delays of up to 48 hours.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
For interactive tracing 365 days a year, please use BNSF's Tracing web tool by logging into the BNSF Customer Portal with your username and password and selecting Trace on the Home page. If you have questions regarding a shipment(s), please utilize the Message Us feature on the BNSF Customer Portal (must be registered/logged in to access) or contact BNSF Customer Support at 1-888-428-2673.
Customer Support will maintain a limited staff on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 28. Normal coverage will resume on Saturday, November 29.
