RT Specialty and Ryan Alternative Risk announced the expansion of RT FLEX, a proprietary follow-line facility that gives RT Specialty brokers access to additional capacity across a broad range of specialty insurance products. Originally launched in 2025 to address excess casualty placements, RT FLEX has grown into a multi-line platform spanning three major product verticals: Property, Casualty, and Professional & Executive Liability. Current lines include Property, Builder's Risk, Excess Casualty, Construction, Professional Liability, Directors & Officers Liability, Errors & Omissions Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, and Medical Professional Liability. Talk about lightning fast! Thank you to everyone who joined RT Specialty at the 2026 Private Risk Management Association (PRMA) Annual Summit in Indianapolis and saw our branded car, only matched in speed and power by our team of private client experts. It was great meeting with you!

In the lead up to the Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA) Annual Summit, Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers CEO Miles Wuller spoke with The Insurer, from Reuters, about the success of the managing general underwriter (MGU) model.

"There's increased adoption of E&S, and there's more of a structural acceptance of MGUs now. I'm proud of that, and I believe RSUM played a role in that. We've made investments in the people, personnel, governance, outcomes and systems that the industry can rely on." Read the interview here.

RT Specialty was proud to be the platinum sponsor of this year's Motor Carrier Insurance Education Foundation (MCIEF) Leadership Conference. RT Transportation's Doug Hathaway had the honor of introducing the keynote talk with Mark Seymour and Drew Easton, where they dived into the trends in trucking that are shaping the insurance market. Jake Rothfuss, CEO of Velocity Risk and WKFC Underwriting Managers, joined Insurance Business America for a roundtable on the highly competitive E&S property insurance market, offering insights into the evolving E&S landscape. "The E&S market creates value and adds value to the entire ecosystem by being able to make sense of hard-to-understand, complex risks. When I think about the opportunities in front of us through AI, it's absolutely aimed at helping to solve that problem. This is the start of a golden age for the E&S sector in terms of utilizing AI in a way that adds value for clients, carriers, capital providers and brokers."
