Presentations

Harriett Steinbach, Office of Research, facilitated a panel presentation entitled "Illinois Innovation Network: Driving Economic Development in College Towns and Throughout the State" at the International Town-Gown Association annual conference in College Station, Texas. She also co-presented "ITGA Research and Teaching Strategy: A Consultation for the Entire Town-Gown Ecosystem."

Publications

Allison Harris, Physics, published a paper with student coauthors titled "Spectral Phase Pulse Shaping Alters Photoionization Time" in the Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics.

Mike Rossler, CJS, co-authored an article titled "Explaining police officer intentions to leave their career field" in Journal of Crime and Justice, June 2026.

Catherine Sun, FCS, co-authored an article titled "Evaluation and advancement of the students' artificial intelligence literacy through toolkit-based teaching instruction in fashion merchandising education" in International Journal of Fashion Design, Technology and Education, June 2026.

Dawn Beichner-Thomas, CJS, published a book chapter "The Affective Journeys of Women under Carceral Control" in Routledge International Handbook of Criminology and Affect, June 2026 and co-authored the following:

  • An article titled "Beyond victimhood: Feminist criminology and the Beijing Platform's framing of women in criminal justice" in Current Sociology, July 2026
  • An article "Feminist approaches to justice at Beijing +30" in Current Sociology, July 2026

Mijin Kim, CJS, co-authored an article titled "Exploratory analysis of cryptocurrency transactions of darknet drug markets: connections to organized crime" in Journal of Financial Crime, June 2026.
