Municipal Court's VanillaDirect Pay highlights trust, inclusivity

Published on September 08, 2025

Fort Worth Municipal Court's VanillaDirect Pay provides a simple way to skip the courthouse and pay a citation with cash at local retailers.

The cash-based payment solution allows residents to pay citations, such as traffic and parking violations, nontraffic offenses and more, at participating retailers. The service provides a convenient alternative to courthouse payments by eliminating the need for credit or debit cards and reducing the need for in-person visits.

Trust and inclusivity are key features of the VanillaDirect Pay option.

Trust

  • No credit or debit card is needed, just a barcode and cash.
  • Residents can make payments during store operating hours, offering more flexibility than courthouse hours.
  • Payments are quickly reflected in the court's recordkeeping system.

Inclusivity

  • The payment option is available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
  • Residents can complete payments conveniently at retail locations right in the neighborhood, reducing wait times and eliminating the need for a trip to the courthouse.
