Citizens Bank & Trust Celebrates Grand Opening of New Scottsboro Office

SCOTTSBORO, Ala. - Citizens Bank & Trust officially celebrated the grand opening of its new Scottsboro office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 17, welcoming customers, community leaders, and local partners to its new home at 23817 John T. Reid Parkway.

The celebration, held in partnership with the Mountain Lakes Chamber of Commerce, marked an exciting new chapter in the bank's longstanding commitment to serving Jackson County. The event featured remarks from bank leadership, a ribbon cutting, tours of the new facility, and fellowship with customers and community members along. Attendees were encouraged to register to win prizes such as a Big Green Egg, Turtlebox Speaker, and an RTIC Cooler as part of the celebration.

The new office replaces the bank's previous Scottsboro location on South Broad Street and was thoughtfully designed to better serve the needs of customers while providing room to grow alongside one of Northeast Alabama's fastest-growing communities.

"This building represents far more than a new location, it represents our long-term commitment to the people, families, and businesses of Jackson County," said Charlie Williams, Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Bank & Trust. "As a community bank, we believe relationships are built over generations, not transactions. We're honored to continue investing in this community and look forward to serving our customers here for many years to come."

Citizens Bank & Trust first entered the Scottsboro market in 2020 and has continued expanding its presence through local lending, community involvement, and personalized financial service. The new office offers a modern banking experience while maintaining the relationship-driven approach that has defined the bank for more than 20 years.

"This office is a reflection of what we believe about Jackson County," said Stuart Dawson, Jackson County Market President for Citizens Bank & Trust. "This is a community with tremendous opportunity, incredible people, and a bright future. We're proud to call Scottsboro home, and our team is committed to helping our neighbors, local businesses, and organizations succeed. We aren't just opening a building, we're continuing to build relationships."

As part of the celebration, Citizens Bank & Trust presented a donation to the Jackson County Child Advocacy Center, reflecting the bank's ongoing commitment to investing in organizations that strengthen the communities it serves.

Since opening its doors in 2003, Citizens Bank & Trust has grown to serve customers across Northeast Alabama while remaining independently owned and focused on relationship banking. Today, the bank operates 11 offices and continues to invest in the communities it calls home through financial education, charitable giving, volunteerism, and local decision-making.
