City of Alhambra Unveils 2026 Rose Parade Float Design, Inspired by Local Student

Alhambra, CA - The City of Alhambra is excited to announce its participation in the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade, marking the city's 97th consecutive year in this iconic celebration. This year's parade theme, "The Magic in Teamwork."

The City invited Alhambra Unified Elementary School students to create their own float designs to inspire the 2026 float. This year's winner is Ngoc Han Le from Martha Baldwin Elementary School. Ngoc's art submittal "Honey, You're a Star" was selected because of its relationship to the theme and creative flare. Float elements include the classic Alhambra neon sign and a giant animated bee watering an Alhambra Park garden of Southern California blooms along with two smaller bees eyeing stars of honeycomb as they all work together, reminding us that teamwork can blossom into a brighter community.

For those interested in helping bring Alhambra's float to life, volunteer opportunities for float decoration will begin December 6. Volunteers are essential to the float's success, and the city encourages community members to participate in this exciting tradition. Sign up opportunities are available now on the City's website.

Be sure to watch for the City of Alhambra's float as it makes its way down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena on January 1, 2026! For more information, visit www.cityofalhambra.org.
