Five City Colleges of Chicago Earn 2026-2027 Military Friendly® School Designations

Harry S Truman, Kennedy-King, Richard J. Daley, Olive-Harvey, and Wilbur Wright Colleges have all received awards that name them as great college choices for military members, veterans, and their spouses.

The Military Friendly® Top Ten Schools set the standard for military/veteran programs and initiatives and continue to improve year after year.

The Military Friendly® School with Gold distinction is a school that scored within 10% of the 10th-ranked school in its category and sets an example for other colleges with its programs and initiatives.

The Military Friendly® Top Ten Schools set the standard for military/veteran programs and initiatives and continue to improve year after year.

The Military Friendly® School with Gold distinction is a school that scored within 10% of the 10th-ranked school in its category and sets an example for other colleges with its programs and initiatives.

The Military Friendly® Schools designation is awarded based on public data and responses from the colleges' Military Friendly® Schools survey. Schools are evaluated on student retention, graduation rates, job placement, and loan repayment and default rates for all students and specifically for student veterans.

City Colleges of Chicago is proud to support active-duty service members, veterans, and their families throughout their educational journeys. Each of our seven colleges is home to a dedicated Veterans Services Centerthat provides tailored resources and support for those who are serving or have served. This recognition not only highlights these efforts but also solidifies City Colleges' ongoing commitment to empowering veteran students.
