Notice of Utility Tariff Filings

The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Golden Valley Electric Association, Inc. (GVEA) filed TA405-13, requesting Commission approval of tariff revisions reflecting updated interconnection procedures, and TA406-13, requesting Commission approval tariff revisions reflecting the adoption of a Community Energy Program (CEP). GVEA requests that the tariff revisions contained in TA405-13 and TA406-13 become effective July 16, 2026.

With TA405-13, GVEA submitted Large Generator Interconnection Procedures, applicable to generating facilities with a capacity of over 5 MW, and Small Generator Interconnection Procedures (SGIP), applicable to generating facilities with a capacity of 5 MW or less that take service under Schedule Nos. QF-1 and QF-2. The SGIP is not applicable to net metering applicants.

GVEA's proposed tariff revisions in TA406-13 include the terms, conditions, and fee for the interconnection of community energy facilities to GVEA's system, requirements and costs attributable to community energy facilities after interconnection, and GVEA's reporting requirements. To be eligible for interconnection, each subscriber organization must have an initial subscriber base contracting at least 85 percent of the community energy facility's nameplate capacity. GVEA proposes a CEP application fee of $65.
