Osborne, known worldwide as "the pianist to the presidents," last performed at the Bicknell Center a decade ago during its grand opening. His return appearance comes by popular demand after audience members and community members repeatedly requested his return.
A graduate of Pittsburg State University's Department of Music (Master's, 1993), Osborne has built an international reputation for his artistry.
Based in Las Vegas, Osborne has been the featured pianist at the Bellagio Resort for nearly 30 years.
An official Steinway & Sons Signature Artist, he has performed at the White House more than 75 times-more than any other living pianist. His performances have also included playing at the memorial services for Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter and Former President Jimmy Carter, held at the Washington National Cathedral and Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia.
"We're thrilled to welcome David back to the Bicknell Center," said Kathleen Flannery, Pittsburg State University vice president for university advancement. "He helped us celebrate our opening 10 years ago with a spectacular performance, and it's only fitting that he returns to mark this milestone anniversary. His connection to Pittsburg State and his extraordinary musical accomplishments make this an especially meaningful event."
Osborne will be joined on stage by members of the David Osborne Trio.
Tickets will go on sale Monday, Nov. 17, and can be purchased through the Bicknell Center Box Office or online at bicknellcenter.com.
