Tallahassee State College (TSC) has appointed Dr. Steve Nettles as Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness, bringing more than two decades of leadership in accreditation, strategic planning, and educational research to the College's executive team. He comes to TSC from Kansas City Kansas Community College, where he directed Institutional Effectiveness and guided major initiatives in strategic planning, institutional research, and accreditation to strengthen student outcomes.
Dr. Nettles served as Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness at the University of Arizona Global Campus, leading efforts in quality improvement and data-informed decision-making that advanced institutional performance. He also served as Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Gulf Coast State College, where he was instrumental in the college's transition from a community college to a state college and successfully oversaw a comprehensive 10-year accreditation review. In addition to his campus-based leadership, Dr. Nettles has provided national and international consulting on educational policy and performance, helping institutions align strategy with student success.
"Steve brings both vision and experience to this important role," said Dr. Jim Murdaugh, president of TSC. "His expertise in accreditation and institutional effectiveness will be a tremendous asset to the College and will strengthen our efforts to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed."
Dr. Nettles earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Florida State University and completed a Post-Doctoral Certificate in Education Management from Harvard University. He also holds multiple academic credentials in education policy and leadership.
