Six new works of art have been installed in locations throughout the Heritage District, all placed on doors in prominent areas throughout downtown Gilbert as part of a project called the Alley Gallery. The artworks are part of an ongoing effort to enhance and beautify downtown Gilbert's corridors and pathways with heavy pedestrian traffic and visitation. A call for artists and a selection committee of area leaders, business owners, and Town staff helped review and score the entries.
New art can be seen from the north end of downtown at Heritage Marketplace all the way to the south end of the district at HD South, Gilbert's historical museum. The six new works will be added to Gilbert's Public Art Map, available for viewing online.
