In line with the Finnish Government Programme, the operations and management of the Team Finland network have been reformed in cooperation with business and industry. As of 1 January, the foreign operations of Business Finland related to export promotion have been integrated into the structures of the Foreign Service.

A total of 141 person-years have been transferred from Business Finland to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and to Finnish diplomatic missions abroad. This integration responds to the challenges related to the geoeconomic transformation and international trade by combining the geopolitical analysis of the Foreign Service with Business Finland's expertise at the business interface.

From the beginning of 2026, Finnish companies will have access to services for internationalisation and overseas operations through the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the network of Finnish missions around the world. Information on the trade promotion services provided by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Finnish diplomatic missions is available at um.fi/trade-promotion-services.

The domestic operations of Business Finland will focus on building innovation-driven and sustainable growth. In addition, Business Finland maintains offices in 11 different countries tasked with promoting the efforts to attract international investments, tourists and experts to Finland.
