Rockhurst University Offers Speech-Language Pathology Master’s Degrees to Students at Regis, Creighton Universities

Rockhurst University will partner with fellow Midwest Jesuit institutions Creighton University and Regis University, offering students the opportunity to earn Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology degrees (MS-SLP) at all four campuses.

As of fall 2025, students now have the opportunity to apply and enroll in the MS-SLP Rockhurst pathway program tailored to partner institution locations:

• Kansas City, Missouri: Rockhurst University in-person lab/clinic with residential classes
• Kansas City, Missouri: Rockhurst University in-person lab/clinic with online synchronous classes
• Denver, Colorado: Regis University in-person lab/clinic with online synchronous classes
• Phoenix, Arizona: Creighton University in-person lab/clinic with online synchronous classes
• Omaha, Nebraska: Creighton University in-person lab/clinic with online synchronous classes

"We are proud to offer these options to students at our fellow Jesuit institutions," said Stephanie Becker, Ph.D., assistant professor of speech-language pathology at Rockhurst University. "As part of a network known for academic prestige and for preparing students to be person-focused practitioners, we know these students are a natural fit for Rockhurst University's Master of Science in speech-language pathology program."

All students, regardless of program location, will take part in in-person, hands-on labs and competency-based training their first year. Both on-campus and online synchronous classes will meet once a week. Students will have access to Rockhurst University's network of community-based partners to complete clinical requirements in a variety of practice settings and the opportunity to develop their skills on campus in state-of-the-art simulation centers.

"Employers tell us all the time that they look for Rockhurst University graduates," said Julia Patnode, co-chair of speech-language pathology Rockhurst University. "That's because they are not only well-prepared, but because they have the grounding in the Jesuit core values that aid them in serving diverse populations with compassion."

Rockhurst University is also offering a post-bachelor's leveling program for students interested in the MS-SLP program but have earned a bachelor degree in an unrelated major. These students can complete required pre-requisite coursework to apply for the MS-SLP program. Classes are offered online, synchronously during the evening with all coursework completed in two semesters.
