The University of Toledo held a training exercise from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, to test the University of Toledo Medical Center's response to a community mass casualty incident.

The announced tabletop drill - which followed the scenario of a large influx of critically wounded patients - included representatives from the Emergency Department, trauma care, surgery and nursing, as well as clinical administration, registration, security and communications.

UTMC also hosted a run, hide fight training session for nursing staff earlier in October.
