Yom Kippur: Associate Minister Yaseen

"As the sun sets this evening, Jewish communities across Alberta and around the world will gather to commemorate Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. This day, marked by prayer, fasting and contemplation, is a time to look within, seek forgiveness and make amends with others and God.

"This sacred day also serves as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of the Jewish people, who come together to renew their faith, elevate their spirits and seek God's mercy and blessing. Yom Kippur is a profound opportunity for individuals and communities to embrace humility and honesty, elevating their spirits and allowing individuals and communities to emerge stronger and more united.
