A Goodlettsville man has been charged with felony gun possession after he entered the Municipal Auditorium downtown to attend this afternoon's graduation ceremony for Glencliff High School carrying a pistol in his waistband.
A metal detector activated after Elijah Boles, 20, walked through it. Security then discovered the gun and notified police. It is against Tennessee law to carry a gun onto school grounds or onto properties being used for official purposes by a Board of Education.
A judicial commissioner set bond for Boles at $5,000.
