Meeting with the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria

On December 5, 2025, a meeting was held in Vienna between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Ms. Beate Meinl-Reisinger.

The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between Tajikistan and Austria in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as on the relations between the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations.

During the meeting, the heads of the foreign ministries expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the areas of water resources, climate, and glacier preservation.

The interlocutors paid particular attention to security issues, including the fight against terrorism and extremism.

In this regard, the Austrian side expressed its readiness, at subsequent stages, to send to Tajikistan a high-level delegation to discuss cooperation in the above-mentioned areas.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
