Our Productions Theatre Co. Presents 'Songs for a New World'

Our Productions Theare Co. presents multiple performances of Songs for a New World, with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.

Described as "about one moment… hitting the wall and having to make a choice," Songs for a New World weaves together a series of compelling stories and characters navigating pivotal life decisions. Through a dynamic blend of music and storytelling, the production highlights themes of love, resilience, and the enduring human spirit.

This production features a unique collaboration of professional artists and community performers, accompanied by a live band under the direction of Musical Director Mark Mullino. Audiences will journey from the deck of a Spanish sailing ship to 57 stories above Fifth Avenue, encountering characters at crossroads and asking the central question: When you are backed against a wall, what do you choose-the new or the old?

Showtimes are Friday, April 3, Saturday, April 4, Thursday, April 9, Friday, April 10, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, April 11, 2:30 and 8 p.m.

The Grand is Lewisville's home for the arts. It presents a variety of regional and national touring performers, art exhibits, and classes, while also giving the many arts groups in the greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works. Its multiple performance spaces play host to a variety of events including live music, theater, dance performances, comedy shows, and more. The center features the 294-seat Huffines Performance Hall, black box theater, recital hall, art gallery, and courtyard.

To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Please be aware that there is heavy road construction at the Main Street interchange with I-35E that will cause delays.
