Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Kong Xianhua Attends the Handover Ceremony on Emergent Assistance Goods for Fire Response of the Maldives

On December 11, Ambassador Kong Xianhua and Maldivian Minister of Finance and Planning Zameer jointly attended the handover ceremony of on emergent assistance goods for fire response of the Maldives and signed the handover certificate. Maldivian Minister of State for Finance and Planning Adam, and Counselor Zhang Xu of the Chinese Embassy,also participated in the ceremony.

Ambassador Kong stated that the donated goods embody the profound friendship of the Chinese people towards the Maldivian people and reflect the shared responsibility of mutual assistance and shared destiny between China and the Maldives. China has always been a reliable partner of the Maldives. In the future, China will continue to work hand in hand with the Maldives to address various challenges, deepen cooperation in various fields, and promote the building of a China-Maldives community with a shared future.

Zameer expressed his heartfelt gratitude to China for its positive response and strong support in the face of the disaster, stating that the aid goods were very timely and would help Maldives restore normal operations as soon as possible. He also expressed his willingness to work with China to further strengthen cooperation in various fields.
