November 6, 2025 - Residents and visitors are invited to explore the President Barack Obama Main Library and discover its wide array of programs and services at a Community Open House hosted by the City of St. Petersburg.

The Community Open House will feature free family-friendly activities, entertainment, food and refreshments, alongside performances, local vendors and opportunities to engage with community organizations. Attendees can experience the new library spaces and participate in interactive programming hosted by the library and community partners. Make sure to come early to get a free bookmark and a newly designed library card! Supplies may be limited.

The President Barack Obama Main Library reopened to the public on September 27, 2025, following an extensive renovation and modernization project. This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter for the beloved community hub, now featuring innovative spaces, updated technology and expanded programs designed to serve readers, learners and families of all ages.
