"CTIA applauds the FAA for initiating this proceeding to unlock the economic and social benefits of drone systems by enabling safe operations beyond visual line of sight. 5G networks operating on licensed, flexible use spectrum can provide the reliable, low-latency communications and high bandwidth needed for these kinds of operations, and we look forward to collaborating with the FAA to implement an appropriate regulatory framework."
