Community Weighs In on a New Magic Mountain Playground at Coyote Point

This summer we heard from more than 450 people in response to our 11-question survey asking how we can make Magic Mountain Playground more fun. The survey was open from May 22 to June 17, and available in English and Spanish online. The Department also reached out to local organizations, including schools, libraries, and community-based organizations near Coyote Point and throughout San Mateo County.

This information will help designers create a refreshed, inclusive playground that is sure to spark the imaginations of a new generation. In early 2026, you'll have a chance to review two design concepts and provide more feedback. Construction is expected to begin mid-2026.
