Anchorage Testing Center closure date

UAA Community,

We previously announced that the UAA Testing Center in Anchorage will close this summer. We now know that the last day of operations will be Thursday, July 30, 2026. All testing reservations made up to that date will be honored, and all current exams available there can be taken up to that date. After July 30, it will not be possible to schedule any exams at the Anchorage location.

Those with JBER access will be able to schedule in-person exams at the JBER Testing Center. Registration for some online exams will also be available through the JBER website. For most other exams, including ad hoc proctoring of course exams, students will need to use Honor Lock or Blackboard Ultra to complete exams, or work with course faculty to schedule an in-person exam.

UAA's Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence holds professional development opportunities focused on various options for assessing student learning. Instructional Design staff can also consult with faculty around the use of specific tools such as Honor Lock and Blackboard Ultra.

Thank you for understanding,

Tom Green
Interim Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs
