The sleek and fun-to-drive 2027 Honda Civic Sedan and Hatchback are starting to arrive at Honda dealerships nationwide now with the new Sport-L trim joining the lineup by the end of the year. The Sport-L trim further increases the appeal and value for money of America's best-selling compact car1. Slotting between the Civic Sport and Sport Hybrid models, the first-ever Civic Sport-L stands out with premium features previously exclusive to hybrid trims, including leather upholstery, power-adjustable and heated front seats, and dual-zone climate control.
Pricing for the 2027 Honda Civic lineup continues to begin with the very well-equipped Civic LX starting at $24,995 (excluding a $1,295 destination and handling charge). The new Civic Sport-L, powered by a refined and fuel-efficient 2.0-liter engine, starts at $28,495. The hybrid-electric 2027 Civic Sport Hybrid starts at $29,695.
Long recognized for its incredible value for money, the average new-vehicle transaction price for Civic this year, including hybrid models, is below the industry's average used-vehicle transaction price. Civic hybrid, the 2025 North American Car of the Year, accounts for more than 30% of all Civic sales this year.
"Civic has earned its place as America's best-selling compact car1 by delivering the fun, efficiency and value that customers expect from Honda," said Luis Guerra, assistant vice president of Honda National Auto Sales at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "With the new Civic Sport-L, we're making some of Civic's most desirable premium features more accessible, giving buyers another smart reason to choose Civic."
Honda is also adding more value to the Civic Sport Touring Hybrid with the addition of Honda S+ Shift, a technology pioneered on the 2026 Honda Prelude. An innovative new drive mode, Honda S+ Shift simulates a performance transmission for the ultimate electrified Honda driving experience, including virtual rev-matched downshifts and gear holding, plus enhanced engine sounds to increase driver sensory connection with the vehicle.
A gateway to the Honda brand, the award-winning 11th-generation Civic is America's most popular vehicle with Gen Z, first-time buyers and multicultural customers2. Civic is the longest-running Honda automotive nameplate and America's best-selling compact car since 19731 with more than 13 million Civics sold.
