Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular returns to Desert Sun Stadium

YUMA, Ariz. - The City of Yuma invites the community to celebrate Independence Day at its free annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on Saturday, July 4, at Desert Sun Stadium (1280 W. Desert Sun Drive).

Gates open at 6 p.m., with a larger fireworks display commemorating America's 250th birthday scheduled to begin at approximately 9 p.m.

This free community celebration will offer plenty of family fun, including a foam party, firetruck spray down and free kids zone. Food and beverage vendors will also be available throughout the evening, along with free water stations for attendees.

Commemorative America 250 merchandise will also be available for purchase, including clear bags for $10, T-shirts for $10 and hats for $15.

"The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular is a tradition that brings our community together," said Kathy Urfer, Special Events Assistant. "This year's celebration will offer even more for families to enjoy as we honor America's 250th birthday."

To help ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone, a clear bag policy will be in effect. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests are welcome to bring water bottles, blankets, and chairs for use on the field.

The following items will not be permitted inside the stadium:

  • Outside food.
  • Glass containers.
  • Pets.
  • Personal fireworks, sparklers, or other flames.
  • Coolers.
  • Non-clear bags.

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular is made possible through the generous support of presenting sponsor Chapman Chevrolet GMC. Additional event sponsors include Channel 13, FOX 9, The CW6, Channel 11, ABC 5, Telemundo 3, Z93, Outlaw Country, Bubba's and Lamar Advertising.
