2025 Veterans Day Information, City of Norman

City of Norman Administrative Offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Offices will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

The Sanitation Division will remain on the regular schedule during the holiday observance on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. All Sanitation services, including residential, yard waste, recycling and commercial, will run normal service. The Compost Facility and the Transfer Station will remain open; the Compost Facility located at 398 Bratcher Miner Road is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the Transfer Station located at 3901 S. Chautauqua is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Questions may be directed to 405-329-1023.

The City's primary transit service - EMBARK Norman - will operate its normal schedule on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Find schedule and real-time information at https://www.embarknorman.com. Norman Animal Welfare, 3428 Jenkins Avenue, will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

2025 VETERANS PARADE INFORMATION

The Norman Annual Parade and Ceremony to honor veterans will take place Sunday, November 9, 2025. The parade begins at 2 p.m.

The parade will start from the north parking lot of the Reaves Park Softball Complex off of East Timberdell. It will head west, then turn south through the parking lot parallel to Jenkins, turn east through the main Reaves parking lot, continue south along the baseball complex, and ultimately finish in the south parking lot along Constitution. The route is approximately ¾ of a mile. After the parade, a memorial ceremony will be held in the park. This event is sponsored by the Veterans Committee, a group of volunteers dedicated to honoring all who have served.
