OBL Annual DC Fly-in: Don’t Sit on the Sideline

01/14/26

"Anyone can complain, and they should have the right to, but if you want to see change you must act. Actions speak louder than words. Don't complain about things, change things." - Benjamin Franklin

When it comes to American public policy, there is a wealth of history to look back on as we celebrate the United States' 250th birthday this year. But policy decisions are being made today that will shape our future and one day be looked back at in history. You can sit on the sideline and watch, or you can affect those decisions today and be a part of making that history.

-----

The banking industry is in the middle of a period of significant change compressed in a short amount of time. We are charging full speed ahead into new horizons that include cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence, surrounded by proposals to change our regulatory structure.

It is imperative that we as an industry do not sit on the sidelines. This is a moment where we need to make sure we are in the game as a major player in how these policy decisions will shape the field and our future.

The Ohio Bankers League is your industry advocate working on your behalf day in and day out. But in order for us to be the best advocate we can be for our member institutions it requires bankers to lend their personal voices to ours.

The annual OBL DC Fly-In is the perfect opportunity for you to make a direct impact on the policy decisions that will shape our industry for years to come. Join us February 24-26 as we head to Washington to meet with Members of Congress and regulators about current banking issues.

The link to register can be found HERE.

There is no registration cost for this event. If you are unable to make it yourself, please consider sending someone from your team to have your bank represented in these important conversations.
