The Mexican medical device company, led by Luisa Suárez, has undergone a significant process of internationalization.
In the last five years, Vitalmex, a prominent Mexican medical device company led by Luisa Suárez, has undergone a significant process of internationalization. Thanks to investments from Australis Partners and the German Development Bank, the company now generates 20 percent of its revenue from abroad. A notable achievement is the imminent introduction of its innovative artificial heart to the market, marking a milestone in its global expansion.
The internationalization strategy has been based on a philosophy of collaboration and mutual learning, leveraging Mexico's service focus and the process efficiency of its international partners. Particularly, in New York, Vitalmex has conducted 100,000 minimally invasive and disinfection procedures annually, with plans to expand into cardiology and hemodynamics in the next five years.
With the financial backing from both institutional investors that represents 40 percent of the company's ownership, Vitalmex maintains a solid presence in the Mexican market, with 35 percent of its revenue coming from the private sector and 45 percent from the public sector.
Vitalmex focuses on providing comprehensive services for minimally invasive surgeries, endoscopies, and infection control, including the supply of necessary equipment and personnel. Additionally, its development of an artificial heart stands out as an advanced project that promises to revolutionize the treatment of heart failure after a decade of research and technical improvements.
