Chinese Consul General in Perth Fu Lihua Attends the International Women’s Day Event “Her Power·Leading the Intelligent Future”

On March 7, 2026, Consul General Fu Lihua attended the International Women's Day event "Her Power · Leading the Intelligent Future" held by Western Australian Chinese Women's Federation. Ms. Sook Yee Lai, MLA, representing Premier Cook and Dr. Tony Buti, Minister for Multicultural Interests, Mr. Mark Perkov, Deputy Mayor of the City of Stirling, Ms. Robyn Nolan, President of the National Council of Women WA, Ms. Nancy Wang, President of the WACWF, councilors, leaders of the Chinese communities and other guests of around 200 people were present.

Consul General Fu extended festive greetings to the attendees, briefed China's achievements in safeguarding women's rights and supporting the development of women's causes. She highly praised the positive role played by Chinese women in WA in promoting practical cooperation and people-to-people links between China and WA, and encouraged them to continue contributing to the steady and long-term development of China-Western Australia relations.

Ms. Lai and other speakers commended the important contributions made by Chinese women across various sectors of society and expressed their commitment to continuing efforts to build a more fair, inclusive, and diverse society that is friendly to women.
