ST. LOUIS (Sept. 2, 2026) - Ameren Corporation has been named among Site Selection Magazine's Top Utilities in Economic Development for 2026, recognizing the company's role in helping attract business investment and create jobs across Missouri and Illinois throughout 2025.

The recognition reflects Ameren's ongoing partnership with businesses, site selectors and community leaders to support investment and job growth throughout its two-state service territory. Last year, Ameren-supported economic development projects generated $3.6 billion in capital investment and created more than 3,700 jobs across Missouri and Illinois.

In Missouri, businesses across Ameren's service territory created 2,270 new jobs and invested $1.6 billion, including:

  • IKO, a global leader in the manufacturing and supply of residential shingles, commercial roofing and waterproofing products, expanded in Bismarck by investing more than $120 million in a new 220,000-square-foot facility with plans to create more than 50 new jobs for its subsidiary, Bismarck Granules.

In Illinois, businesses across Ameren's service territory created more than 1,450 new jobs and invested $2 billion, including:

  • Manner Polymers, a Texas-based producer of custom PVC material for the agriculture, appliance and automotive sectors, expanded in Mount Vernon, Illinois, by investing $54 million in a new 100,000-square-foot facility with plans to create 60 high-wage jobs.
