Portions of Several Streets to Temporarily Close October 3, 4, and 6

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of several streets will close October 3, 4, and 6.

Friday, October 3, 4 to 7 p.m. - UNL Homecoming Parade

  • 12th, 13th and 14th streets between "R" and "Q" streets
  • 14th Street between Vine Street and Avery Avenue
  • 16th Street between Vine and "Q" streets
  • "R" Street between 12th and 16th streets
  • Vine Street between 14th and 16th streets

StarTran Routes 22-NIC City, 24-Holdrege, 25-Vine, 27-North 27th, 42-Bethany, and 49-University Place will be detoured during this event.

Saturday, October 4, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. - LES Utility Work

  • Westbound "A" Street between Gramercy Road and 56th Street - The recommended route is 70th Street to "O" Street to Cotner Boulevard to "P" Street to 56th Street. StarTran Route 54-Veteran's Hospital will be detoured during this work.

Monday, October 6 - Pavement Repairs

  • Cotner Boulevard between Vine and 66th streets - This work is expected to be completed by Friday, October 17. Access to homes in the area will be maintained. The recommended route is Vine Street to 66th Street.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public's patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
