Four teenagers were arrested Thursday evening by TITANS Unit detectives in a parking garage at The Mall at Green Hills, after two of them were found to have outstanding theft warrants, as well as guns and drugs in their Acura TLX.
Keymonte Nelson, 18, was spotted driving the Acura near Clarksville Pike and was recognized for a December 27 shoplifting at Nordstrom where he and Marcello Thomas Jr., 19, allegedly stole shoes and jeans.
Detectives followed the Acura to the Nordstrom parking garage where the group parked and went inside. When they returned, detectives took Nelson, Thomas, and the backseat passengers, Coreyon Williams, 18, and a 17-year-old into custody. Williams had outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and weapon possession from a November incident where a woman was pistol whipped and shot in the shoulder.
Inside the Acura, detectives recovered a rifle (equipped with a switch making it a fully automatic weapon), a handgun, marijuana, burglary tools and vehicle key fobs.
Nelson was out on $28,000 bond from a November arrest where he was charged with domestic assault and aggravated assault for strangling his girlfriend. He is now charged with felony marijuana possession, felony weapon possession, bond release violation and drug paraphernalia in addition to the theft charge. He was released on $57,500 bond.
Thomas was charged with felony marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia in addition to the theft charge. He remains jailed on $22,500 bond.
Williams was charged with felony weapon possession, possession of a prohibited weapon, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia. He remains jailed on $92,000 bond.
The 17-year-old was charged in Juvenile Court with marijuana possession, felony weapon possession and juvenile handgun possession.
