Greenberg Traurig Advises Fontana Gruppo on Acquisition of Kamax Group

MILAN/BERLIN - 23 April 2026 - Greenberg Traurig advised Italian company Fontana Gruppo on its successful signing of an agreement to acquire Germany-based Kamax Group - a strategic transaction that further strengthens Fontana's global footprint and market position.

The transaction marks a significant milestone in Fontana Gruppo's strategic development. As a leading industrial fasteners manufacturer with a strong presence across Europe, India, the United States, Mexico, and Brazil, Fontana continues to expand its global platform. Kamax Group operates 15 manufacturing plants in Germany, Spain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, and China.

Upon completion of the transaction, Fontana Gruppo will operate a total of 42 plants worldwide, employ more than 9,000 people, and generate approximately €2 billion in annual revenue. Closing is expected in the coming months, subject to customary regulatory approvals.

Greenberg Traurig advised Fontana Gruppo with a multijurisdictional team led by its Milan and Germany offices, working closely with colleagues in Warsaw, Mexico City, and the United States. The firm provided broad legal advice covering all key aspects of the transaction, including corporate mergers and acquisitions, finance, antitrust and competition, employment, tax, intellectual property and technology, real estate and public law.

PwC Advisory (Italy) supported Fontana Gruppo with the financial due diligence and in relation to the SPA. PwC Tax (Italy) supported Fontana Gruppo with the tax due diligence and the structuring of the transaction.
