Updated El Niño Forecast Warns Of 'Historic Event'
Climate troublemaker El Niño continues to strengthen, and now has a greater than 90% chance of becoming a "very strong" event during the fall and winter of 2026-27, federal scientists reported Aug. 13. In addition, by the fall season, there is a 69% chance of a "historic event that would exceed the strength of previous El Niño events dating back to 1950," according to an Aug. 13 report released by scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center… https://tinyurl.com/4buu7hbh
Nat-Gas Prices Fall on Bearish EIA Report
Forecasts are for above-average temps across the South and Southeast through August 22, according to Commodity Weather Group.
