Ascension St. Vincent's helps local students prepare for the school year at Arlington community event

As students across Northeast Florida prepare to head back to the classroom, Ascension St. Vincent's joined community partners at its freestanding emergency room in Arlington to help families start the school year on the right foot.

The community event provided nearly 200 students with free backpacks filled with school supplies, free haircuts and access to health and wellness resources. Ascension St. Vincent's associates connected families with information about healthcare services and community programs while helping remove barriers that can impact a child's success in school.

Supporting events like these reflects Ascension St. Vincent's commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities it serves beyond the walls of its hospitals and clinics.
