Public Informational Meeting Replacement of Bridge over Cady Brook in Putnam

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct an in-person public information meeting concerning the replacement of Bridge No.04764 Carrying East Putnam Road over Cady Brook on Tuesday, February 10, at the Putnam Municipal Complex located at 200 School Street at 5:00 p.m. The meeting location is ADA accessible

The public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community with an opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation. For additional information, visit portal.ct.gov/DOTPutnam0115-0124.

"This project will replace the existing hydraulically deficient structure and provide a new resilient replacement structurethat will increase the safety of all travelers," said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Michelle Rame. "We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design."

Right-of-way impacts associated with this project will take place on private properties and will consist of temporary construction easement for access, grading, and water handling.

Construction is anticipated to begin in 2028 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s). The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $4 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
