The City of Palo Alto hosted two community meetings at the Mitchell Park Community Center, to engage and gather community feedback on the refined grade separation alternatives for Churchill Avenue (including Seale Avenue), Meadow Drive, and Charleston Road. During this early design phase, alternatives were refined for each crossing based on City Council direction, community feedback, project goals, and additional technical analysis such as traffic impact analyses. In reviewing the feedback received, three takeaways emerged across all the crossings noting traffic impacts, active transportation including safety, connectivity and ADA accessibility and property impacts. In this update, find brief descriptions and key feedback themes for each alternative, and share input either online or by participating in upcoming rail grade separation discussions: November 18 Rail Committee meeting, December 10 Council meeting (public comment), and December 15 Council meeting (action only).
