Carter votes against Biden COVID Bonus extension

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Earl L. "Buddy" Carter (R-GA) today released the following statement after voting against a Democrat-backed three-year extension of Biden COVID Bonuses in Obamacare plans:

"Democrats wrecked health care when they passed the UnAffordable Care Act. Throwing more money at a broken system, riddled with waste, fraud, and abuse, without addressing the root cause of skyrocketing costs does nothing but bail out Big Insurance and illegal immigrants. We should be empowering patients and promoting health care competition, like House Republicans did when we passed the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act, not sending money to billion-dollar corporations that benefit from patients' pain and suffering."
