E. Main St. to Reopen to Through Traffic Between Poseyville Bridge and State St. by October 3

September 29, 2025 - The Poseyville Preserve Project has reached an exciting milestone. The pedestrian walkway, officially named Founders Crossing, has been fully installed. This major step has enabled crews to reconstruct the section of Main St. previously occupied by heavy equipment.

As a result, E. Main St., between the Poseyville Bridge and State St., is scheduled to reopen to vehicle traffic and parking by Friday, October 3. The south sidewalk, adjacent to the Tittabawassee River, will continue to remain closed until the Poseyville Preserve Project is complete later this fall.

Public access to Founders Crossing will remain restricted until the Poseyville Preserve Project is fully complete. A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Poseyville Preserve Project is scheduled for December 2, 2025.
