08 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) is expected to close around AIR 1,200-1,400 for General AIQ seats after NEET UG Round 1 counselling. Karnataka state quota cutoffs for BMCRI usually extend to around AIR 3,500, making it a top choice for southern region rank holders.
07 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
The expected general cutoffs of the top Deemed institutions like KMC Manipal are projected to be around AIR 45,000 to 55,000 (Score 580+). Mid-tier Deemed colleges may see cutoff ranks stretching beyond AIR 2,500,000 depending on fee structures.
06 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
GMCH Chandigarh (GMC Sector 32) maintains extremely high cutoffs under 15% AIQ. General category closing ranks will be tentatively between AIR 500 and AIR 650. State quota seats for Chandigarh residents are projected to close around AIR 1,200 for the Unreserved applicants in Round 1.
05 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
Central universities, including BHU, AMU, and DU internal quota candidates are undergoing specialized seat mapping for internal quota candidates. Seat processing algorithms execute university-specific eligibility criteria concurrently with the 15% All India Quota. BHU Open MBBS seats are expected to close near AIR 850 for General candidates in this initial round.
04 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
Algorithm processing systematically validates category seats such as General, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and EWS. Software rules ensure that high-merit reserved-category candidates who qualify on unreserved merit scores are automatically offered open seats first, preserving reserved seats for candidates lower on the rank list as mandated by law.
02 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
Authorities are validating payment statuses for all submitted options. Candidates who successfully paid the Rs. 10,000 (UR/EWS) or Rs. 5,000 (SC/ST/OBC) security fee for AIQ, or Rs. 2,00,000 for Deemed Universities, are being processed in the primary allotment algorithm. Note that the unpaid choice entries have been automatically filtered out.
02 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
For JIPMER Puducherry (Internal and Open AIQ seats), the General category closing rank is expected to be around AIR 250 to 350. Candidates in the OBC category may see seat allotments up to AIR 650, whereas SC and ST cutoffs are projected to extend up to AIR 5,000 and AIR 12,000, respectively, in Round 1.
01 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
The admission experts expect that the AIIMS New Delhi Round 1 opening rank for the Unreserved category to close strictly within the Top 50 NEET AIRs. Cutoff scores for General candidates are expected to hover around 715-720 marks, while OBC and EWS category cutoffs are anticipated to remain tight within the Top 250 rank range.
01 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
If the candidates are not satisfied with the NEET UG Round 1 allotment but wish to try for a higher-preference college in Round 2, then they should also complete the standard physical reporting at their Round 1 college (document verification and admission fee payment). Then they should select "Yes" for Upgradation to Round 2 on the portal/admission form during the admission process at the college.
12 30 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
12 00 PM IST - 18 Aug'26
Candidates receiving a NEET UG Round 1 seat should remember that the counselling process does not end with result publication. According to the revised schedule, reporting and joining are scheduled from August 20 through August 25. Candidates should therefore be ready to act promptly after checking their allotment. Institute-specific joining instructions should also be reviewed to avoid missing any required admission formalities or deadlines.
11 30 AM IST - 18 Aug'26
The counselling process has now entered the seat allotment stage. MCC's revised notice assigns August 18 for processing and August 19 for the Round 1 result. Candidates who participated in Round 1 should monitor official updates during this period.
11 00 AM IST - 18 Aug'26
With processing scheduled for August 18, candidates should prepare for tomorrow's result publication. The official MCC schedule confirms August 19 as the Round 1 allotment result date. Candidates should ensure their registration details, login credentials, and contact information are accessible. They should also avoid depending on third-party result links. The safest source for confirming allotment remains the official MCC counselling portal.
10 30 AM IST - 18 Aug'26
While waiting for the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result, the candidates need to organize documents that may be required if a seat is allotted. The official schedule provides August 20 to August 25 for reporting and joining. Candidates should therefore remain prepared for the next stage. Exact document requirements and joining instructions should be checked through the official MCC communication and the allotted institute's instructions.
10 00 AM IST - 18 Aug'26
The NEET UG Round 1 seat allotment process will now proceed after the completion of choice locking on August 17. Candidates cannot alter their submitted preferences during the scheduled processing stage. MCC has scheduled allotment processing on August 18 and result publication on August 19. Candidates should review their previously submitted choices mentally and remain prepared for either a preferred seat, another selected option, or no allotment.
09 30 AM IST - 18 Aug'26
MCC has announced August 19 as the NEET UG Round 1 seat allotment result date, but the revised schedule does not mention a specific release time. Therefore, any exact hour circulating online should be treated as an expectation rather than a confirmation. Candidates should rely on the MCC website for the actual publication. The result could become available once processing and technical formalities are completed.
09 00 AM IST - 18 Aug'26
Candidates who successfully locked their choices are now waiting for MCC to process their Round 1 allotment. August 18 marks the scheduled processing stage, while August 19 is the official result date. The allotment will determine the seat offered based on the counselling process and submitted preferences. Candidates should keep documents, login details, and payment-related information accessible for subsequent admission formalities.
08 30 AM IST - 18 Aug'26
The revised MCC schedule states that NEET UG Round 1 choice filling was available until 6 PM on August 17, with choice locking beginning at 10 AM and continuing until 6 PM that day. Candidates can no longer modify their submitted choices under this schedule. The next stage is allotment processing on August 18, followed by publication of the Round 1 result on August 19.
08 00 AM IST - 18 Aug'26
The revised MCC schedule places Round 1 seat allotment processing on August 18, 2026. This means candidates can expect the allotment exercise to take place one day before the scheduled result date. Aspirants should keep their login credentials ready and monitor the official counselling portal closely.
