2026 DLA Hall of Fame inductee: Anthony D’Ambrosio

A leader in logistics supply known for managing major tailored vendor programs and spearheading contingency support during historic humanitarian events is a 2026 DLA Hall of Fame inductee.

Anthony D'Ambrosio's federal government career began in 1985 as a procurement agent. He later became a key leader in the acquisition process and concluded his career as the deputy director of the Construction and Equipment Supply Chain at DLA Troop Support, retiring in 2018.

During his 10-year tenure as deputy director, D'Ambrosio oversaw a portfolio that generated over $29 billion in sales. He supported wartime construction needs in the U.S. Central and Pacific Command regions and directed DLA's response to the Ebola outbreak in Liberia, as well as for Hurricanes Harvey and Maria. During the response to Hurricane Maria in 2017, the Construction and Equipment supply chain provided over 36 million parts to support the restoration of power in Puerto Rico. During his final two years in the role, Construction and Equipment's sales grew from $3.5 billion to $6.2 billion.

His nominator, Army Brig. Gen. Sean Kelly, commander of DLA Troop Support, said D'Ambrosio provided critical oversight of major tailored vendor logistics support programs and spearheaded efforts during major contingencies.

The nomination packet further described him as a consummate professional who displayed an unparalleled level of professionalism and leadership.
