North Port Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting team registrations for the 2026 Adult Basketball League season.
Following the successful return of the league last year, the program is back and expanding to accommodate up to 14 teams. Teams may register up to 11 players per roster, with a registration fee of $400 per team.
The league will run from Aug. 18 through Oct. 21. Games will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W. Price Blvd. Teams are responsible for providing their own uniforms.
The Adult Basketball League offers both a 16+ Division and a 40+ Division. To be eligible for the 40+ Division championship, all players on a team's roster must be 40 years of age or older.
"The return of our Adult Basketball League last season exceeded expectations and showed there is a strong interest in recreational sports opportunities for adults in our community," said Recreation Program Coordinator Alex Romero. "Whether you're a longtime player or looking to get back on the court with friends, this league offers a fun, competitive environment that brings people together through the game of basketball."
The Adult Basketball League provides an opportunity for players to stay active, build camaraderie and enjoy organized competition in a recreational setting.
Registration is limited to 14 teams and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Team registration must be completed in person at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W. Price Blvd., or the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way. League Rules and Guidelines must be reviewed, signed and submitted at the time of registration. The rules packet and additional league information are available at NorthPortFL.gov/AdultBasketballLeague.
