University of Chester launches funded internship opportunities for businesses

The University of Chester is inviting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and non-profit organisations to benefit from its Chester Internships programme - offering fully funded and part-funded paid internships for students and recent graduates.

The scheme provides employers with access to emerging talent, fresh perspectives and additional resource for projects, while supporting students and graduates to develop their skills, knowledge and confidence.

Current opportunities include Inspiring Futures Internships for current undergraduate students from under-represented groups and Graduate Traineeships for recent graduates. A new 'Grad Launch' Internship scheme for final-year undergraduates will launch later this academic year.

The University's Employer Engagement Team will manage the process for participating businesses - from promoting opportunities and managing applications to answering queries making it simple and efficient to host an intern.

Opportunities suitable for students from Sociology, Criminology, Law and the Creative Industries are particularly welcome. For more information or to submit an expression of interest, employers should contact: [email protected]

Businesses are invited to make expressions of interest by Wednesday, September 17 with reserved funding confirmed by Wednesday, September 22.
