On 25 August 2026, Mr. Charkrienorrathip Sevikul, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, along with his spouse, hosted a dinner to introduce himself and foster closer ties with the ASEAN Consuls-General in Dubai and their spouses, namely Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines, following his assumption of duty. The dinner was also attended by officials and their spouses from the ASEAN Consulates-General. Discussions focused on enhancing ASEAN's joint cooperation and unity in the UAE in key areas such as trade, investment, tourism, culture, protection of nationals, as well as upcoming collaborative activities.
