Delivering Results for La Paz County

I'm proud to share some great news for La Paz County. Since my legislation, H.R. 1043, the La Paz County Solar Energy and Jobs Creation Act, was signed into law by President Trump, it has already begun delivering real results for our community.

This week, I toured project sites in La Paz County to see firsthand the investment and development now moving forward because of this law. H.R. 1043 unlocks federal land for responsible solar energy and energy storage projects-creating hundreds of good-paying jobs, expanding domestic energy production, and strengthening local control. It also builds on my earlier work, including the 2019 La Paz County Land Conveyance Act, to establish the county as a growing regional energy hub.

Even more good news: after I recently contacted Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, the Bureau of Land Management notified officials in La Paz Countythis week that it has approved issuance of the final Notice to Proceed-a major milestone that clears the way for full project development.

This is exactly how Washington should work: practical legislation, strong follow-through, and real, on-the-ground benefits for the people we represent. I'll keep fighting to ensure Arizona communities continue to see results, not just promises.

Committee Advances Gosar Legislation on Endangered Species

I have some more great news to report: my bill, H.R. 4255, the Enhancing Safety for Animals Act, was successfully marked up and passed out of the House Natural Resources Committee, advancing critical legislation that restores balance to wildlife management and protects rural communities.

The bill recognizes the successful recovery of the Mexican wolf after decades of conservation efforts and reaffirms that the Endangered Species Act is not a one-way ratchet. It delists the Mexican wolf, nullifies flawed federal rules that removed population safeguards, and returns management authority to the states and local stakeholders closest to the land.

Since being reintroduced to the wild in Arizona, Mexican wolves have preyed on cattle, livestock, and even family pets, causing significant financial losses and economic hardship on family-run ranches.

The Mexican wolf has lingered on the Endangered Species list for nearly 40 years. During that time, there have been numerous accounts of livestock killings and even declines in some big game herds since these wolves were first listed. Much of this can be attributed to failed management by the United States Fish and Wildlife Services (USFWS) as the uncontrolled and unmanaged wolf populations have been allowed to roam free. In fact, nearly 90% of the wolf's original habitat falls within the border of Mexico. Significant attacks by wolves on cattle, elk, moose, and sheep have occurred and have negatively impacted hunters and ranchers throughout Arizona.

To make matters worse, the USFWS considers recovery within the borders of Mexico in its management goals. American ranchers are being punished for Mexico's failure to manage its own animal populations effectively. Immediate delinking is needed to ensure American ranchers are put first.

Unfortunately, lawsuits filed by extremist environmental groups have prevented the Mexican wolf from being delisted nationally, even though the Mexican wolf was released into Arizona and New Mexico as part of an experimental program.

The Mexican wolf population has grown steadily since being reintroduced to the wild. In the U.S., the Mexican wolf population now exceeds the original federal recovery goals for wolves in the wild, with hundreds more in captivity for breeding. Now a stable population, the wolf is no longer in danger of extinction and should be delisted from the Endangered Species Act

In voting to support my legislation, House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman noted: "The Enhancing Safety for Animals Act of 2025 delists the Mexican wolf from the Endangered Species Act and ensures that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service considers the species status only in the United States when formulating future recovery plans. I applaud Rep. Gosar for ensuring that American laws prioritize the needs of the American people."

This is a pro-science, pro-law, and pro-people measure that acknowledges conservation success while addressing real-world impacts on ranchers, local economies, and public safety. The next step is final passage in the House of Representatives.

Bipartisan Members of Congress Find Clintons in Contempt

This week, I joined House Oversight Committee Republicans and Democrats in voting to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt for defying lawful, bipartisan subpoenas in the Epstein investigation. The unanimous subpoenas, issued more than five months ago as part of the Committee's investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's pedophile network, carried a clear legal obligation to comply. Instead, the Clintons chose stonewalling and obstruction. They laughed at justice. They spit on subpoenas. They thought their political dynasty made them above the law. This overwhelming bipartisan vote affirms a simple principle: congressional oversight applies to everyone, regardless of status or power. No more Clinton privilege. The Committee has now acted to defend its authority, and I call on the full House to move quickly to enforce accountability.

Gosar Receives A+ Rating from Pro-Life Organization

This week I was proud to learn that I once again have earned an A+ rating for 2025 on the National Pro-Life Scorecard issued by Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America. This recognition reflects my consistent record of voting to protect innocent life, oppose taxpayer-funded abortion, and stand up to the abortion industry-including Planned Parenthood.

The right to life is the most fundamental of all rights, and defending it is not negotiable. I will continue fighting to ensure that our laws protect the unborn and that Americans are never forced to subsidize abortion with their hard-earned tax dollars.

President Trump's Year in Review: Promises Made, Promises Kept!

One year ago this week, President Trump returned to the White House. America is stronger, safer, and more prosperous-because President Trump and Republicans in Congress have delivered real results together. In just twelve months, we have crushed inflation, secured the border, unleashed American energy, cut taxes for working families, rebuilt our economy, restored law and order, shrunk the federal bureaucracy, put veterans first, and reasserted peace through strength abroad. Wages are rising, costs are falling, jobs are returning to American workers, and our nation's sovereignty has been reclaimed. This is what happens when conservative leadership works. Promises made, promises kept-and the best is yet to come.

It's Mail Time!

Each week, I receive thousands of letters, and I appreciate hearing from everyone, even those who may disagree with me. Here are a few letters I received this week:

Jennifer C. from Litchfield Park, AZ writes:

As a teacher, I see the impact of youth who have no outlet or support for positive endeavors. As a parent of a scout and wife of an Eagle Scout, I see the confidence and skills that scouting teaches. I don't think I need to say more than all support for Scouting should continue. This message is very clear - the U.S. Military turning their back on scouting makes no sense and has minimal if any real financial impact. It is a travesty to separate the youth of America from the skills, traditions and training that will lead to our continued defense preparedness.

Jennifer, Programs branded as "diversity, equity, and inclusion" (DEI) are not only unlawful under recent Supreme Court precedent, but they also undermine equal enforcement of the law. Discriminating against individuals today to remedy alleged wrongs from centuries ago defies logic, denies merit-based achievement, and violates federal law-including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which explicitly prohibits discrimination based on protected characteristics.

DEI proponents argue that government-sanctioned discrimination is necessary to dismantle "structures of oppression," implying those structures are so entrenched that they cannot be overcome without abandoning equality under the law. Yet DEI routinely excludes other so-called "disadvantaged" groups when it suits political ends. In reality, DEI persists not because it is lawful or effective, but because it assumes ordinary Americans are incapable of engaging with different perspectives absent coercion.

It is therefore unsurprising that President Trump and Pete Hegseth have made dismantling DEI a priority. When imposed on children, DEI does not promote tolerance or unity; it fosters resentment by assigning worth and moral standing based on skin color rather than character or effort.

This misplaced emphasis helps explain why Secretary Hegseth has raised concerns about continued collaboration between the Department of Defense and Scouting America. The Boy Scouts were founded to instill self-reliance, discipline, and readiness to serve one's country-principles clearly reflected in early scouting manuals. Scouting was never about government-imposed ideology, but about building character, competence, and equality through personal responsibility.

While Secretary Hegseth's comments were speculative, they should not surprise anyone. Scouting America has drifted from its original mission, prioritizing ideological instruction over preparing confident, capable young Americans. Reorienting youth institutions toward responsibility, service, and love of country is essential if we expect future generations to defend the liberties they inherit.

Nathaniel M. from Waddell, Arizona shares:

I urge you to publicly support impeachment proceedings against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Representative Robin Kelly has introduced articles of impeachment charging Secretary Noem with obstruction of Congress, violation of public trust, and self-dealing. These charges reflect a pattern of conduct that demands immediate action, not delay.

Under Secretary Noem's leadership, the Department of Homeland Security has repeatedly blocked oversight, resisted transparency, and presided over enforcement practices that have resulted in preventable deaths. The killing of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis is only the most visible example of a broader crisis.

ICE custody deaths reached a record level in 2025. Independent medical reviews have found that the overwhelming majority of these deaths were preventable with basic care and accountability. This reflects leadership failure at the highest level.

Impeachment is a constitutional tool designed for precisely this kind of abuse of power. Oversight has already been obstructed. Investigations have already been delayed. Continued inaction only enables further harm.

I urge you to support impeachment proceedings, demand full hearings, and affirm that no Cabinet official is above the law.

Nathaniel,
let me be absolutely clear: I stand firmly and unapologetically with ICE and the men and women who enforce America's immigration laws every day. I also strongly oppose efforts to impeach Secretary Noem for carrying out her lawful responsibilities as head of the Department of Homeland Security.

ICE agents enforce laws enacted by Congress. They do not create immigration policy, nor do they have the discretion to ignore statutes because of political pressure. These officers routinely operate in dangerous environments to protect public safety, dismantle criminal networks, and uphold the rule of law. Undermining them-or the leadership responsible for overseeing their mission-only emboldens lawlessness and puts lives at risk.

Calls to impeach Secretary Noem are not about accountability; they are about obstructing immigration enforcement through political intimidation. Weaponizing impeachment against a Cabinet official for enforcing federal law sets a dangerous precedent and threatens the independence and effectiveness of law enforcement nationwide.

For years, ICE has been subjected to relentless attacks from activists and politicians who oppose enforcement altogether. This rhetoric has consequences. Demonizing agents, obstructing operations, and encouraging resistance to lawful authority create instability and erode respect for the rule of law.

I will not support efforts that weaken ICE, endanger federal agents, or punish executive officials for enforcing the laws of the United States. We must enforce our immigration laws, back our law enforcement officers, and reject attempts to turn public safety into a political weapon.
