Joint Press Statement of the Fifth ASEAN Directors-General of Immigration Departments and Heads of Consular Affairs Division of Ministries of Foreign Affairs Meeting Plus Three[...]

  1. The 5th DGICM + 3 Consultation was held in Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia, on 25 June 2026. The Consultation was co-chaired by His Excellency Police Lieutenant General Sok Veasna, Director General of the General Department of Immigration, Ministry of Interior, Kingdom of Cambodia and Her Excellency Fukuhara Nobuko, Associate Commissioner, Immigration Services Agency of Japan. The Consultation was attended by the Heads of Immigration Departments and Heads of Consular Affairs Divisions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the ASEAN Member States, People's Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea, as well as representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat.
  2. The Consultation exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation in the areas of immigration, consular affairs and border management within the DGICM + 3 Consultation framework. The ASEAN Member States expressed appreciation to the Plus Three countries for their continued support and assistance toward ASEAN's efforts in strengthening the capacity and capabilities of ASEAN immigration and consular authorities.
