Interprofessional Panel – Cancer Below the Surface: How the Body Speaks Through the Mouth
The College of Dentistry and A 21st Century Initiative - Oral-Systemic and Population Based Health for All presents: Cancer Below the Surface: How the Body Speaks Through the Mouth
This interprofessional panel-bringing together health care professionals, cancer survivors, families, and behavioral health experts-will explore how medicine, dentistry, and health professions can collaborate to improve detection, risk assessment, and patient outcomes. Special attention will also be given to the role of mental health and wellness, highlighting how psychological resilience and behavioral health strategies directly influence treatment success, recovery, and quality of life for patients and caregivers.
