Endesa celebrates 15 years of supporting the Copa del Rey basketball tournament and Minicopa Endesa with an ambitious schedule of sports, music, and purpose

  • Valencia is preparing to host five days of basketball, excitement, camaraderie and music in an edition that will once again turn the Copa del Rey and the Minicopa Endesa into the ultimate meeting point for the sport and its fans, with Endesa driving the experience.
  • The show is guaranteed both inside and outside the arena thanks to Endesa, which will offer fans an extensive musical line-up featuring artists such as La M.O.D.A., DJ Nano, and La Última Copa and La Azotea, winners of last year's inaugural Endesa Play edition.

With the tip-off of the first Minicopa Endesa game today, five days packed with basketball get underway, accompanied by an attractive musical and festive programme that will make the 2026 Copa del Rey in Valencia an unforgettable event. From 19 to 22 February, the Roig Arena will host this competition, turning Valencia into the epicentre of national basketball. For the fifteenth consecutive year, Endesa will power the competition, committed to delivering the best experiences for fans both on and off the court.

Running parallel to the main tournament, the Minicopa Endesa takes place from today, Wednesday, at the iconic Fonteta arena, an unmissable event to discover the future stars of Spanish basketball. Free tickets will be available for all games, allowing fans to enjoy a competition that, throughout its 20-year history, has maintained its developmental spirit. A total of 126 players have gone on to debut in the Liga Endesa, including standout names such as Ricky Rubio, Luka Dončić, Jaime Pradilla and Darío Brizuela, among many others. The grand final will be played at the Roig Arena, offering young players the chance to experience the same stage as their Liga Endesa role models.

Wednesday's action also features a very special press conference. Young members of the Fundación Aderes Burjassot basketball team - dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and the inspiration behind the film "Campeones" - will act as journalists in a press appearance with stars from clubs such as Valencia Basket, Real Madrid, Asisa Joventut and UCAM Murcia, highlighting the right of access to sport for all.

Music will also take centre stage thanks to Endesa. Since the 2022 Copa del Rey in Granada, the company has been committed to adding an extra layer of entertainment to reach all audiences, including live performances. In this regard, the programme for this Copa del Rey in Valencia is the most ambitious to date.

In the Fan Zone, located outside the Roig Arena and the Fonteta, a large stage will become the venue where the magic of music comes to life, powered by Endesa. The winners of the inaugural Endesa Play emerging talent contest, La Última Copa and La Azotea, will perform on Thursday and Friday respectively, preceded by Valencian DJs Ella Pincha Sola and Kid Rizzo. DJ Nano will perform twice on Saturday: once inside the arena during half-time of the second semi-final and later with a free session in the Fan Zone for all music and basketball fans. The spectacular musical finale will be delivered by La M.O.D.A. during half-time of Sunday's final.

But the agenda features music and much more. Endesa will provide fans with a gaming area and the opportunity to personalise unique basketball trading cards, along with in-arena entertainment and the traditional match ball child - an experience that gives a young basketball enthusiast the chance to deliver the official game ball.

Endesa, true to its commitment to Spanish basketball and its fans, once again places the fan experience at the heart of everything, making the 2026 Copa del Rey much more than a tournament: a shared celebration of passion for the sport.
