Point Breeze Credit Union announced a $10,000 gift to American Red Cross of the National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region.

The Red Cross hosts "Sound the Alarm" events throughout the region, recruiting volunteers for smoke alarm installation and educating the public on fire safety essentials. While house fires claim 7 lives a year on average, the presence of smoke alarms is proven to cut the risk of fire deaths in half.
In celebration of the credit union's contribution, Point Breeze president and CEO Tonia Niedzialkowski, along with fellow members of the senior leadership team, joined Red Cross personnel at their Baltimore location.
