Golden Key Awards recognize Utah leaders in disability employment
52nd annual awards honor businesses and individuals expanding opportunities for people with disabilities

SALT LAKE CITY (Sept. 24, 2026) - The Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (USOR) presented the 52nd annual Golden Key Awards today during the Disability:IN Utah Summit, recognizing Utah businesses, organizations and individuals for their efforts to expand employment opportunities and workplace access for people with disabilities.

"Every Utahn deserves the chance to put their talents to work," said Gov. Spencer J. Cox. "These honorees are making that possible by removing barriers, recognizing what people can do and building workplaces where Utahns with disabilities can succeed."

Throughout the year, Disability:IN Utah and USOR collaborate with employers to strengthen disability employment practices through training, recruiting support, workplace accommodation resources and connections with qualified job seekers with disabilities. The Golden Key Awards recognize employers and community partners putting those practices into action.

"These honorees understand that expanding disability employment is more than opening a door - it' s creating a workplace where people have the opportunity to contribute, grow and succeed," said Sarah Brenna, director of USOR. "Their work creates meaningful opportunities for Utahns with disabilities while helping employers build stronger teams where people can contribute their skills and talents."

• Drew Johnson, Provider of the Year
• Steve Sprague, Community Partner of the Year
• Newman Construction, Freedom Award
• Christe Youman, ACE Award
• Tooele Hometown Tire and Auto, Small Employer of the Year
• Mauser Packaging Solutions, Medium Employer of the Year
• Lucky, Large Employer of the Year
• Department of Environmental Quality, ASAP Achievement Award

The Golden Key Awards were presented during the Disability:IN Utah Summit at Zions Technology Center in Midvale.
